A stay in a holiday home is currently one of the safest ways to take a holiday.
Most European borders are open, making it possible to travel again.
However, different registration or testing requirements are in place upon entering your destination or returning to your home country, sometimes also during your stay. Quarantine may be mandatory upon your return.
Please check the latest travel and safety information before you travel, especially in terms of necessary registration and testing requirements for your destination as well as your home country.
Some countries / travel destinations may tighten restrictions and regulations at short notice due to the dynamic rate of new infections, e.g. restricted access according to the so-called “2G-model” (vaccinated or recovered) or vaccinated or recovered PLUS PCR or antigen test (the so-called “2G plus-model"), depending on the respective specifications.
These restrictions do not allow for a general cancellation or change of the booking free of charge.

- 21 days or less before your travel date or if you do not start your journey: the HHD cancellation conditions remain unchanged and valid.
- If an official border closure or a new official travel ban is issued within the 21 days before your journey begins: you can change or cancel your booking free of charge.
Please contact us to change / cancel your booking immediately and preferably by email.
Has a legal obligation to quarantine (4 days or longer) been introduced in your destination country which cannot be avoided by providing documentation of recovery or vaccination and you would therefore no longer like to start your journey?
- Up to and including 22 days before your travel date: you can change or cancel your booking free of charge.
- 21 days or less before your travel date or if you do not start your journey: the HHD cancellation conditions remain unchanged and valid.
- If a new legal obligation to quarantine has been introduced within the 21 days before your journey begins: you can change or cancel your booking free of charge.
Please note that these rules only apply if the official quarantine requirements cannot be avoided with proof of recovery / vaccination.
Has a legal obligation to quarantine been introduced upon return to your home country which cannot be avoided by providing documented proof of a negative test result / documentation of recovery or vaccination and you would therefore no longer like to start your journey?
- You cannot change or cancel your booking free of charge. The HHD cancellation conditions remain unchanged and valid.
- Exception: the legal obligation to quarantine applies for 6 days or longer. The official quarantine rules neither allow any exceptions for those who have been tested / recovered / vaccinated.
- Up to and including 22 days before your travel date: you can change your travel date for the same property free of charge, i.e. for a later stay in the originally booked property.
- If a new legal obligation to quarantine has been introduced within the 21 days before your journey begins: you can change your travel date for the same property free of charge, i.e. for a later stay in the originally booked property.
Please contact us to change / cancel your booking immediately and preferably by email – in any case as early as possible before your arrival date.
