Minimum requirements

  • A holiday home is a self-contained unit - no access to third parties.
  • There are living rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms and toilets available (at least one for 6 persons).
  • The furnished kitchen has cooking facilities.
  • The furniture is intact and tidy.
  • Enough hot water is available for the maximum occupancy.
  • The facilities are clean and well maintained.

What is important for the safety of your guests?

  • All banisters/railings are stable.
  • Gas and oil equipments in safe working order.
  • Steep stairs, galleries and access ramps are well secured.
  • Bunk beds must be securely assembled and have safety rails.
  • All interior and exterior flooring must be safe and secured.
  • Play areas and equipment must be safe and securely installed.
  • All electrical equipment (appliances, sockets, electric cables, lamps) is undamaged and ready for use.
  • Fire extinguishers and/or fire blankets provided.
  • Tested smoke alarm.
  • First Aid Kit in the apartment/house.

  • What can be done to ensure my property is regularly kept clean?

    In many places we have a reliable cleaning team on site. Otherwise we will be happy to help you find cleaning staff. Your responsible contact will be pleased to provide you with further tips, like using mattress covers on beds, and other useful suggestions.
  • Do I have some protection in the event of my property being damaged by guests?

    Our customers are independently insured should any damage occur. With Interhome you have an additional customised insurance policy with ERV to ensure your property has the maximum protection.
  • What happens if Interhome has to cancel bookings due to force majeure – will I receive a refund if my guests cannot arrive?

    Yes, thanks to the Owners Guarantee with Interhome, offered in partnership with the European Travel Insurance company ERV. This is automatically included with all new bookings from 01.07.2022. An impressive additional feature!
